Hudson Class Starship

Decided to call it the Hudson Class after Henry Hudson a english explorer who sailed to the Arctic for the Dutch East India Company.

Some information:

Having a crew of 280 with an emergency capacity to carry up to 3000 people the Hudson is one of several new programs commisioned by Starfleet Command to increase its exploration fleet.

Armed with two phaser rings on the saucer, dual photon/quantum launcher located in the neck and phaser emitters positioned on the nacelles and engineering section it can stand its own ground when engaging hostiles.

Capable of achieving warp 9.85 (1 hour) its main cruising speed is warp 8 and only needs to return to resupply or refit once in a year.

Private Jets

A design for a small private jet with limited orbital capabilities. This allows the craft to land on larger space craft. Having only one pilot and 5 passengers it is quite small compared to most design seen in Chronicles of Man.

Warsaw Class Advanced Scout

Finished the Warsaw class advanced scout.
Basically a slightly better armed defiant/voyager era vessel for fast attack, scouting and escort duties.
It comes equiped with a phaser array, dual microtorpedoes, dual torpedo launcher and two phaser strips at the rear.

Since I have finished this, and the receiving party was pleased with it I consider this one finished

Finished Liner

Decided to call it a Okinawa Class Liner after finishing it. Added several small details since the last post most notably the additional plating, insignia and depth through shades and reflections.

Freighter/Liner WIP

A new project and this time a non military vessel. It was intended to be a bulkfreighter but in the end it had more of a liner thanks to its sleek lines.

Finished Bushido Battleship

Completed all details, insignia and added its final weapon loadout.

Veridian Battleship

The largest and most detailed CoM design for me so far. Currently working on adding colors and insignia.

Final version of the Firehawk Corvette

Added additional details like insignia and some wear and tare to go along with it. It turned out quite well I think.

Sabre Cut Out View

A continuation of the previous post. Now with some explanation of the various parts.

Some might know I do some minor work for the Wing Commander Saga team (see link on the right of the page). And as such I decided to post something I've been working on. The model is not my work, that has been made by the excellent model department of the WCSaga team. Yet I am working on the internal view of the ship. So far I have got the basic hull skelleton ready and now it will be ready for adding machinery like sensors, flight control devices, flight recorder, energy banks, shield generator etc.

MG 151/20

The MG151/20 is a German (Luftwaffe) 20 mm cannon used in many of its fightercraft.
I basically use photos and some technical schematics found on the internet as reference to recreate this weapon.

After finished this I intend to work on a 30 mm MK108 gun, both are used by the Heinkel HE 219 "Uhu", the aircraft I am planning to work out.

Tromp Class Destroyer Coast Guard Variant.

With a different colorscheme and a top view this version of the Tromp Class destroyer is in service with the Veridian Border Security (Coast Guard).

Finished the updated version of the Tromp Class Destroyer.
Named after Admiral Maarten Harpertszoon Tromp, a naval hero from the 16th century, the Tromp Class destroyer is a bigger unit compared to the Loki Class destroyer. Also better armed and with a internal hangar for dropships the Tromp Class still is in use with the Veridian Navy thanks to it easy to maintain and modernise modular internal hull.

Even more planets

Again some planets, now with a ring attached to them. Need to experiment some more with these to get it feel right but for the intended purpose (wiki images) these will be just fine.

Again the tutorials found at http://www.solarvoyager.com/ are of great help. And with combining techniques I already know and adding some detail here and there you can get some interesting results.

Planets and more planets

http://www.solarvoyager.com/tutorials.asp Being a great source for tutorials when it comes to planets starbackgrounds etc. I decided I will give it a go and these two are my first attempts. A green planet with little detail so probably unihabited and the second a blue one with on the dark side city lights. The city lights was the most work since that was a bit of a tryout for me but in the end I think it turned out pretty well.

Roofvalk Gunship WIP

A perspective shot of a gunship design. Having rotable engines it can achieve fast speeds without sacrificing its ability to hover.

So far the line drawing is completed and only coloring needs to be added. 

Tromp Class Destroyer

A new Destroyer Class. This time it is called the Tromp Class MLU(MidLifeUpdate) destroyer which is a more heavier armed, yet slower and less modern version of the Loki Class. The background story is that the Loki, being more modern and easier to construct, will replace some of the older Tromp class while the remainder will me modernised to a MLU version that will act as a squadron leader to several Loki destroyers.

Veridian Uniforms

As part of the Chronicles of Man universe I thought lets add some more backstory. In this case I wanted to add uniforms for the Navy, Space Forces and Marines. The image here shows some of the uniforms so far. There will be some changes, mainly color, made here and there but in general the basic layouts are finished.

CSS Shiloh - Heavy Cruiser

As a continuation of the work done for Chronicles of Man I made another heavy cruiser.
And is what is hopefully plain to see is that this design is much more aggressive looking compared to it Veridian counterpart who is much more roundish and curved in design.

A design made for another contributor's s nation I will use this dagger shaped ship as a base for any future designs I might make for him :) And I already have a few sketches lying around that will use the a similar design as the heavy cruiser.

Crew Quarters onboard the NX Class part I

A design for the main characters living quarter. Bigger then a regular crewmember these rooms are reserved for officers and are twice as large compared to a normal quarter. It has a desk, bed, table (with chairs) and most important a shower :)

Still a Work In Progress but the main layout is completed.

Final version of the heavy trooptransport

Finalized version of the trooptransport. Also added a logo and some minor changes detail wise. For Illustrator I just got working on some simple projects but given time it will certainly help a lot when designing.

A new project has arrived... still in photoshop though. Hopefully I will get the hang of it eventually :D At the moment to busy to give it the attention it deserves.
